Well, I’m still waiting to hear from the one employer if I will be called back for a second interview. Normally I would only be annoyed but because I think this job would be perfect form me I have had a heightened sense of anxiety even before I had the interview. I was expecting a call from my recruiter about the status of the interview yesterday. I was so nervous about the whole thing that I didn’t leave the apartment all day in anticipation of her call. When she finally did call it was to tell me that the hiring manager of the company was busy working on an account and that he didn’t even have time to go over his notes from the interview. That doesn’t comfort me one bit. People forget too easily these days. As time goes by I dread that he will forget how wonderful I was in that interview.

On the lighter side, I did something oh so butch today. I reversed the doors on my refrigerator! OK, it may not be that butch for some people but anytime I pick up a screw driver and a wrench that’s butch! I’m left handed and have never had a refrigerator that opens from right to left. This world is so prejudiced against left handed people. Even pencils are for right handed people. I think I should organize a protest against these companies that think their only customers are right handed people.

OMG, waiting to hear if I have been selected for the next round of interviews feels like a Heinz ketchup commercial! “Anticipation is making me wait!” What the hell! I don’t get it. How long does it take to determine that I am the best person for the job? I was supposed to find out yesterday but the employer had to review his notes on the interviews and the references some more. Whatever! If I was hiring someone I would know that day! I can’t take it! I’m going to jump off my roof deck if I don’t hear something today!

The other side of this equation for me is that I have not counted my chicken legs before they are fried. No, I have not put all my Ben wa balls (sp) in one basket. I am still out there looking. I just had a phone interview with some HR gal yesterday. God I hate HR. Who the hell are they anyway? Where the hell did they come from?? I remember in the not too distant past when there was no such thing as HR. Now, they are everywhere! Makes you think. Actually, I also remember when there was no such thing as IT now it’s everywhere. Maybe I should shut up now!

No, I didn’t enter a journal entry yesterday. I was preparing for an interview that I had yesterday afternoon! I was so nervous yesterday morning that I did number 2 about three times! I think I lost about ten pounds in crap alone! No wonder my suite fit so well! I have to remember to take a laxative the next time I have to wear that thing. I think I’ve already had it let out as far as possible!

The company I interviewed with is SO close to me. It’s less than two miles away. I could practically walk there! It is a medium size company that seems to be expanding. I was told that they did over $100M in revenue last year. Not bad! I was also told that they just installed all new computers and upgraded their network. I think I can hang with these guys. The recruiter who coordinated the interviews was geeking me up so much. I sure hope I get called back for a second interview. If I don’t then these people have a screw loose because I was GOOD!
